Frequently asked questions.

Q: What is a professional organiser?

A: A professional organiser is an expert who helps individuals and businesses declutter, organise, and optimise their spaces to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall quality of life. Their main goal is to create systems that make managing spaces, belongings, and tasks easier and more functional. Some of the things I do: Decluttering guidance, space planing, creating systems, downsizing and moving support, body doubling, etc.

Q: What happens at the initial consultation?

A: Depending on the service you need I might ask you to send me some photos and schedule a free phone call to discuss your needs and goals before we book our first session. Other times I’ll book an in home initial consultation, to get some measurements, take some photos and create a plan to achieve your goals.

Q: Do I need to be with you during the organising sessions?

A: It’s a personalised service to suit your needs and you can be as little or as much involved as you want.

If we are decluttering personal items, It’s important that you are there to make the decisions on what’s staying or not. But for the most part, I’ll take care of everything.

Q: Do I need to declutter before the organising session?

A: Not at all. In fact it’s best you don’t do anything, the messier the better. :)

Also, I won’t make you get rid of anything you don’t want to, it’s your home and your decision.

Q: How long does it take to organise a home?

A: This depends on the size of your space, how much stuff you have and the type of service required.

At the initial consultation I will be able to provide you an estimate according to your unique situation, decluttering and/or organising needs.

Q: What happens during the decluttering/organising sessions?

A: Each session is tailored to your needs and goals.

I will work alongside you to declutter and organise your home, providing guidance and hands-on support at your own pace.

Some clients just want me to come in and do everything while they are at work and other clients want to be part of the whole process, either way is absolutely fine.

I’ll bring organising products (at extra cost) to the session if needed and agreed with the client and I’ll offer tips to help maintain your home organised once I’m finished.

I can take your donations (providing it fits in my car) for charities, so you have one less thing on your to do list.

Q: Are maintenance services available?

Absolutely! You can rebook me anytime for a reset session to help keep your home tidy and organised. This service is completely tailored to your needs and it may include light cleaning, doing a whole cycle of laundry from washing to putting it away, making beds, fridge clean up, etc. Reset sessions will be charged at the standard hourly rate.
